Herndon's New Principal
I think Herndon needs a very active principal. Someone who goes out of their way to go to different sporting events and makes appearances in the classrooms. It is important for the principal to show the students, teachers, and community that they are committed to making Herndon a better place for students to excel. I also think that the new principal needs to be more focused on letting the teachers do the teaching than on implementing their own policies. The students are the top priority, not the principal's reputation. I think Mr. Cooper set a very good example for our next principal. Regular classroom visits and encouraging announcements helped created a very welcoming learning environment.
